Design a solution to meet business Needs
Our more than two decades of experience helping businesses determine exactly what they need, results in our developing solutions that meet their business objectives and goals. We meet with our clients. We listen to what they want to accomplish. Then we offer approaches on how to achieve their objectives and goals. The result, a solution to meet those objectives and goals. With the design agreed upon, we move to the next step in the process.
Develop the product to provide the solution
With the design and its deliverables agreed upon, we create a master schedule, which transitions us into development and implementation. We use our custom programming skills and experience to develop the programs, databases, reports, and forms to bring the solution into reality, on time and affordably.
During the design phase, we work at a very affordable hourly rate.
For the development phase we work either at that same hourly rate or on a fixed-price package basis.
Recent Projects
Order Processing System (OPS) – Newington, CT
We recently completed Phase I of a custom Order Processing System for a hydraulic hose assembly company.
- The system manages 20,000+ parts imported from vendor price lists via Excel.
- It automatically assembles parts into models, and calculates pricing, improving speed and efficiency
- integrates with the company’s customer database.
- Manual effort is a thing of the past reducing the time for completing tasks to minutes
- Instead of hand-written forms, the system now generates orders and packing slips automatically, resulting in streamlined shipping.
This transformation has significantly reduced order processing time and improved overall efficiency.
Tournament Bass Fishing Software (TBFS) – Bristol, CT
We are currently beta testing our Tournament Bass Fishing Software with Mohawk Valley Bass Casters. This software, designed specifically for bass fishing clubs, results in simplified and automated record-keeping needed to run a club. TBFS provides end-to-end management tools:
- Membership tracking
- Tournament scheduling and weigh-ins
- Award calculations (Lunker, Angler of the Year, Co-Angler of the Year, and more)
Once finalized, TBFS will be offered as a licensed product to bass clubs nationwide, helping them run tournaments smoothly and professionally.
WordPress Plugins
In addition to custom programming services, Affordable Business Solutions develops WordPress plugins designed to solve real problems for real WordPress users. Each plugin grows out of a genuine client need — built because the right tool didn’t exist, not because it sounded like a good idea.
Return to Library
A simple but surprisingly useful quality-of-life improvement for WordPress media management. Return to Library adds a button directly in the WordPress Media Library list view that returns you to exactly where you were — no more losing your place after editing an image. Modal support is coming soon.

Smart Gallery
Smart Gallery is a Gutenberg block that transforms HappyFiles folders into fully-featured gallery displays — with one critical difference from standard gallery plugins: rich per-image metadata.
Each image in a Smart Gallery can carry its own title, description, and special features callout. When a visitor clicks any image, a custom lightbox viewer opens showing the full image alongside all of that metadata, complete navigation controls, and a customizable call-to-action button.
Designed specifically for businesses with visual portfolios — builders, architects, designers, photographers — where what’s in the image matters as much as the image itself.

Crop & Save
Professional photographers shoot for print. Websites need something different. Crop & Save solves the mismatch directly inside the WordPress Media Library.
From list view, any image can be opened in Crop & Save’s cropping interface, where a constrained crop box maintains your chosen aspect ratio — 4:3, 3:4, 3:2, 2:3, 16:9, 9:16, or 1:1 — while you position and size the crop area. Multiple crops of the same image in different ratios are supported. On completion, the original oversized file is replaced with the cropped version, keeping your Media Library lean and your page load times fast.

Dynamic Page Creation
DPC is the most ambitious plugin in the suite. It uses HappyFiles folder structure to dynamically generate fully-styled content pages — gallery, tiled, featured, slider, before/after, and more — without creating individual WordPress pages for each content category.
A single DPC installation can power an unlimited number of content pages, each driven by its own HappyFiles folder. Content editors manage images in HappyFiles, and DPC handles the presentation automatically. Per-folder configuration controls the page title, description, layout style, featured image, and sort order — all from a clean admin interface.
The built-in viewer provides rich per-image detail display with navigation, custom URL routing, and call-to-action support. An embeddable slider shortcode allows any DPC folder to be featured anywhere on the site.
Designed for portfolio-heavy businesses — builders, architects, real estate developers, designers — where content volume is high and manual page creation isn’t practical.
