The owner of Affordable Business Solutions didn’t arrive here by accident. His path through the business world was long, varied and deeply grounded in real-world experience at every level.

It started decades ago writing code — not in a classroom or a bootcamp, but on second shift at a real company, solving real problems. From that beginning he built a career in information technology that took him from programmer to project manager to site manager, eventually overseeing a team of 20 professionals with a budget of nearly $2 million for a New York consulting firm. Along the way he designed, developed and managed enterprise-level financial systems — General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll and Pension platforms — for major corporations. Systems used daily by hundreds of accounting professionals and department heads across large organizations.

He knows what enterprise financial management looks like from the inside. More importantly, he knows how to translate that knowledge into something that actually works for a small business.

But the corporate world was only part of the story.

He founded and operated a nonprofit preschool for 18 years — managing its finances, staff, and operations with the same discipline he brought to corporate work, including a profit-center based financial reporting approach that tracked the true cost and performance of each program. Served as a senior administrator for a Connecticut municipality, overseeing a budget of nearly $48 million and a team of more than 100 employees. He spent 11 years in the classroom teaching mathematics — learning patience, clarity and the art of meeting people exactly where they are. And for 20 years he served as a pastor, shepherding a local congregation through every kind of challenge life brings.

Somewhere in the middle of all of that — the suits, the consulting, the budgets and the boardrooms — something shifted. Faith has a way of reordering priorities. People became more important than position. Service became more satisfying than salary. The corporate world stayed behind. The knowledge and the work ethic came along for the ride.
